I Could Eat This Every Single Day

TOBY!

A Walk Through London

Last Moments With The Wonderful Miss Vigineix

London's Always Nice

Woke up around 4.45 yesterday morning to make sure I would be ready at 6. Amandine was going to pick me up and then the two of us would drop by at Dennis' (and Marion's) place to walk into town and take the coach of 7.10! We were perfectly on time so Dennis decided to have a coffee, 'cause Starbucks wasn't open yet and he also ate the Mc breakfast. I had eaten just a little bit and was alright so I didn't order anything, same for Amandine. In the bus it was alright, not that crowded but the seats in the back where already occupied by someone. Not cool. I like them the best because you have more space for the legs. This is probably the first time I went to London without using the underground while being there. We walked to everywhere that we went and as you walk you figure out that this and that building, park, bridge etc. isn't that far from this and that place. People happen to take the underground very easily, making several stops as if everything is so far away from each other, but it's not at all actually. Dennis came along mainly to change his shoes at Timbaland, he bought the wrong size. He ddn't fit them, because they are exactly the same shoes he already had, he just needed a new pair. We didn't really do that much, meaning, we didn't come with a real purpose. Only thing Amandine really wanted to do was going to Hamleys and buy a bear for her mother who collects them. Little did I know that I would end up buying one as well. It looked at me and I guess because of the vulnerable state I find myself in these last couple of days I couldn't leave it and had to buy it. His name is Toby (yes he has a name, I know, I'm 21!). But I will probably give it as a gift, I'm too old you know, even though at times I'm still such a little boy. So I bought Toby and Amandine bought the bear for her mum. We then went on to Carnaby street where we went into another shoe store and to the Converse store, which for me is paradise. I didn't buy anything though, I'm really bad when it comes to spending money. That's why I can't believe I bought the bear! :) Because I felt like eating :p we went to Itsu! My new favourite place. They need to build one in my town :D The products they sell are so nice, frozen yoghurt and different kinds of sushi and salads, YUM! I had this frozen yoghurt with different kinds of fruit and squares of sushi filled with avocado. Dennis had some sushi as well as a very tasty and cool drink. Amandine had this salad and some fresh fruit. Before though she also bought a quiche Lorraine. We stayed there for a while until we went on walking, which brought us to this great place inside London Trocadero where I had been before. They have a cinema called CineWorld and a an arcade center where you can play tons of games and even bowl. Amandine bought this figure of an anime series for her brither at a store where they sell a lot of Manga and anime related stuff. Overall the place is very Japanese like where they have a lot of arcade halls like here. Before we also went to Chinatown, or maybe it was after, I don't really remember. But we went there and visited some shops where they sell candy and other sweet things. So nice. I bought just this small biscuit kind of thing which had chocolate in it and some seeds, really tasty! So we had a lot of fun just walking around, very nice and relaxing. It's fun to just have a day out like that. The coach back however was packed! Not fun at all. I didn't expect that many people at just 4.30! After getting back into Canterbury, Dennis bought some Haribo, the starmix. He however only eats the yellow and orange gummy bears. The rest he doesn't like. And Amandine she bought some fish & chips for her dad to taste. I hope it's still good though. Then we walked back and at 10 pm we met up in Amandine's kitchen to have a last tea with her together with Alice, Véronique and Penelope. Dennis and I were there as well and Jasmine arrived a bit later. We had a piece of chocolate cake that Véro made. But seriously, no more cakes please! We've been eating a piece almost every day this week. It's not good. Then we all had to say goodbye to Amandine. I hope she is alright. It's a long trip from here to Clermont Ferrand from here. And all that by car. She left 9 or 10 am this morning and will arrive home around 10 pm. So yes, that's a long trip and today, especially this morning, the sunw as shining and it was hot! In the afternoon though it cooled down. Well, enjoy the weekend! And I just wanted to say to the mother of Heidi, thanks for reading my blog so much. I really appreciate it! And Véronique, congratulations for being able to go to Paris after summer to study! Really cool. Hopefully the change of weather, more sunny, will effect my current state in a positive way and I will feel happier again.

3 Seconds Of Singing

Amandine left this morning. This is from one of the dinners we had this week. Penelope cooked rice with beans and potatoes really nice! :)

A Lesser Party Due To Campus Watch

The lovely Amandine will leave tomorrow. We went to London today together with Dennis. It was really cool, but now I start realizing again that the end is getting so near. I don't want any more people to leave :( Last night I went into town with Véronique who had to go to Tesco to buy some stuff. I went with her just to hang out. The weather was not good though. We wanted to pick up Amandine, but turned out she already went into town so we went with the bus and later managed to meet up. Before that we got to Tesco in the rain. I only bought some bagels which were reduced in price and then called Amandine to ask where she was. She was in the H&M trying on some clothes so Véronique and I went looking for her. She was on the first floor in one of the fitting rooms. We then went to Zavvi where Amandine had to buy some DVD's to complete her collection :) The last couple of days she has been buying a lot of stuff to bring back to France, just today she bought some muffins from Starbucks for her mother to try and she even bought some fish & chips for her dad who will pick her up early tomorrow! At Starbucks I had this mango fruit blast kind of thing, similar to what they have in EAT. The girls had a coffee and Amandine had a muffin and I had this oat bar kind of thing with some milk chocolate on the side. Amandine then went to Tesco and Véro and I went home. Around 8.30 I went to her and Penelope's place to get ready for the party. We made some space in the kitchen and got everything set. Then Alice arrived, Dennis, Amandine, Jasmine, the whole bunch and the party could start. However, because of campus watch we couldn't play the music too loud. In Claudia's house there was another party going on and apparently campus watch stopped by already to warn them. But we managed to not get any fines, so we were doing okay. But not until the end did we really end up dancing a bit. So it was kind of the first time for me that I just stood talking instead of dancing around all night long. So yeah, when we want to dance we either way have to go to The Venue or into town, or maybe just at Mungos or some other place at campus. But I still had a great time. I try to enjoy spending time with everyone still here as much as possible. It's all very hard having fun here with friends, missing friends who already left and gradually starting to miss some things from home. It's all so much. I would like to go back home and be part of the life of my parents and brother again, but at the same time I don't want to give up my Canterbury life. It's been so great. I'm going to miss everything about it. :(

Party Pix

Pictures of last night. We couldn't really dance though as we didn't dare putting the music too loud as campus watch could stop by and charge us with a 50 pound fine! They already dropped by at Claudia's place to tell them to keep it down. I'm going to London in some minutes and Amandine and I managed to convince Dennis to come with us, he has to change his newly bought shoes into a different size.

Laugh, Cry, Laugh, Cry, Laugh, Cry

I finally got to watch Persepolis last night. See it, it's funny, looks beautifully and really has something to say. It's this story of this young girl growing up and it's a very interesting take on things. i loved it. In the morning I watched Bridge To Terabithia, a children's movie, but one that is so sad that I cannot believe it's for children. They must all end up in tears watching it. I borrowed the DVD from Amandine and she told me each time she cried in the end, I didn't understand why, but now I do. It's sad, horrible things happen. And it's not cool at all. But the movie is good, way better than I expected. I was surprised. It tells about the wonderful thing that is imagination. It's nice. In the afternoon I went out to town to buy tea and just to have a walk. The weather wa sbad, but I didn't care. Lately the weather has been just the way I feel, so the two of us really compliment each other. But it was good to go out, 'cause I feel in public it's harder for me to cry, so I won't. Which is nice when you don't want to end up feeling like a total mess. It's strange because one time I'm doing pretty well, and than the other moment I just don't. And at times when I feel quite good I can't imagine how I could feel so bad other times. It's just weird and very confusing. It's hard to bare. After town I went straight to the Gulbenkian. I was the first and already went into the showing room. Amandine and Véronique arrived later. Then we went to Essentials because Amandine didn't have any food left and she still has tomorrow and today, so she needs something to prepare, after that it's Saturday and she will leave :( Tomorrow the two of us will go to London once again. I'm looking forward to it. We always have tons of fun together. We ended up eating in Véronique's place after I gave some of my pictures to Amandine. Alice was there as well and Penelope who lives together with Véro nowadays. I had some rice, some of the tomatoes I had brought, some mushrooms, some carrots and beans. Amandine and Véronique had a pizza. After we all had a piece of strawberry cheesecake that Alice brought last time. In the end we ended up playing this card game with cards Amandine had taken from her room. It was really fun the game we played and eventually Amandine won. I will go to Véronique's and Penelope's place at 8 tonight and their party will start at 9. Enjoy your evening everyone.

On Tuesday

So quickly, quickly, what did I do on Tuesday? Not much. I cleaned my room, vacuum cleaned it and listened to my music, danced around a bit, you know, those normal things every person does when alone in his room. Then at one point I decided to go out and do my laundry. I met Claudia and we had a little chat. I found a washing machine put all my clothes in, nothign wrong. Then came back. I went to buy something first 'cause I needed some coins. Then I went to the laundrette again and met Aina. I put my clothes in a dryer, first put in the money to check if it worked. Put in all my clothes and then... the door wouldn't close. So I had to find a new one. And for next time, don't just only check if it works with the money, but just check the entire thing! But I found a new one, one that worked and that closed. My clothes were dry, all was fine. And then I had dinner at Penelope's and Véronique's place. I was a bit late, but still I was the first one. Alice stomach turned out to be a bit upside down, so she wasn't feeling that well and therefore arrived later. So I had dinner with Penelope, Amandine and Véronique. Am I right? Yes I'm right. Penelope cooked some rice with beans, potatoes and I believe also carrots. It was really nice and kind of reminded me of home, 'cause it kind of was like a soup, very thick, and I guess I'm used to that. They also baked a cake which was very nice as well. Penelope then later on went up to her room to start studying and the rest of us started playing this game. You had to write down 8 categories and then choose a letter and then for each category you had to come up with a word starting with the letter chosen. You then got awarded two points for a word noone else used, one point for a word you weren't the only one who used it and zero points when the word was wrong or you couldn't come up with any word. It was really fun, but very difficult at times. We didn't stay until too late. I guess we all felt kind of tired. Alice was the first to leave though, and later on Amandine and I left as well. I'm going to bed right now. Thursday has already started!

Too Many Goodbyes

These last couple of weeks have been really hard, but especially the last couple of days. It's hard having to say goodbye to people, not having them around anymore, to be left with things you want to ask, things you want to say, and not by email, by letter or anything, but just in person. I knew it wasn't going to be easy, but it has been even more difficult than I expected it to be. Yesterday Sandra left, but most of the pain and sadness was and still is from last Saturday. So I haven't even gotten to the point of really missing some people as most of it is overshadowed by this one person still. I was happy on Sunday that we had the lunch, had the dinner, that I woke up and first thing I did was bake my bread and then went to play squash. I was surrounded by friends all the time or was busy preparing something that I had no time to be sad. But yesterday and today I have been alone and it has been hard and confusing, so many things at the same time. It's way too much. But I'm okay, even if I'm not. It rained yesterday. I had ten hours of sleep, so good. But no it didn't change anything in the end. I didn't know people noticed me being less talkative than normal. I thought I was holding up real fine. I know I have these moments that I kind of zone out, but I didn't realize it was that obvious. I'm sorry for that. But yesterday we had dinner together in Alice's kitchen in honour of the lovely Sandra who left early this morning. The sweet sweet girl who used to be my next door neighbour when we were still living in Rutherford college. She and Heidi were the first people I met. They were talking outside my room, introducing themselves to each other and I could hear them. I was on the phone speaking to my dad or my mother after just having arrived. My door was open. She was watching Desperate Housewives with Alice in Alice's room when I got to Alice's place at 8. They weren't finished yet so I was forced to watch with them :p But Desperate Housewives, it's so over the top, so overly dramatic. Just too much. I always say that you must be really desperate to watch Desperate Housewives. :) But I guess it's very entertaining. Then Penelope arrived and Véronique. Dennis came just some minutes later. So we moved to the kitchen to start preparing all the leftovers Sandra had. We turned it into pasta with tomato sauce, some crêpes, made in a real crêpe pan by Véronique. I had made another bread, still had some flour and filling left and Sandra made this avocado mix. There was some corn, some courgette from Sunday evening and some other things. It was really nice and still a lot for 8 people. Jasmine joined us later on and Cécilia was with us as well of course. I also shared some ice-cream with Jasmine and Sandra and had some soup that Jasmine made. With Dennis and Sandra I had like four salmiakki shots. But with pauses between every shot of course :) I remember those salmiakki lollies they used to have and I found them disgusting, like a lot of kids. But as I got older I liked them a bit better. But this salmiakki, I'm not really sure if I like it. In the beginning it's good, it's okay, but then it gets too strong. The taste is just too difficult to describe. Sandra started making a puppet again with boxes which we ended up calling Bruce and he will travel around Canterbury (hopefully, please don't kill him!). People just have to pass Bruce on to friends and give him a good time. Make a picture and we will put it on Facebook where he has his own Facebook group. So we were being creative again. Véronique and Penelope had already left before that as did Cécilia, though she never really leaves as she lives with Alice. Eventually we all said goodbye to Sandra and Dennis, Jasmine and I walked back home. It's not cool saying goodbye to people you don't want to say goodbye to. But there are plans to do a reunion in Paris in March 2009! :) So I'm looking forward to that. For me Paris is not that expensive, so I'm definitely going to be there. Well, I have to put my clothes in the dryer. Penelope is preparing a Spanish dinner which I will attend at 8! Really cool. So much food lately, can't say I don't eat enough.

Moving To Park Wood

You remember? We had to drag our stuff all the way down there. That same day (I believe it was a Saturday) we also went to Wilkinson to buy our mugs, pans etc. and we probably had our first Park Wood reception meeting. Thanks to Sandra for these pictures. She's leaving tomorrow morning. :(

Goodbye, Lunch, Dinner

I didn't manage to post anything yesterday, sorry for that. I was in Alice's kitchen all day and this early morning having lunch and dinner with all my friends who are still here. One of them left on Saturday some mintes after 10 pm. I didn't do anything all day, partly because of the sleepless night I had, but also because I felt like there was nothing I could really do. Magali celebrated her birthday that night, though her birthday was yesterday. Marion was going to be at the birthday party as well just two hours before she would leave. Magali had her party at Tania's place. I got there with Véronique. We were supposed to do a drink at her place before to say goodbye to Marion, but at the last minyte Marion had to go to the library, so the meeting was cancelled but I had not gotten the message before. So I came at Véronique's place expecting everyone to be there and then got to hear we would meet everyone at Magali's birthday. I was already late at Véronique's place as I found it hard having to say goodbye and it wasn't at all something I looked forward to in doing, so I rather came a bit late just so to postpone it all a bit. So when I got there I kind of felt it was a bit useless and I now had to wait like half an hour before going to Tania's place. But at 8 we went and Alice and Sandra arrived pretty soon as well after us. I went to write a message on the flag Magali bought to take home with her later on when she will leave and Alice and Sandra did the same. Then around 8.30 Marion arrived and Heidi and Amandine who arrived a bit earlier was there as well. The mood kind of changed of course and when Marion said she was going to leave Alice, Heidi, Véronique, Amandine, Sandra and I decided to walk into town with her to say goodbye at the busstation. Magali would continue her party in Studio 41 in town later, but we didn't anymore eventually. That night was also the night of the summer ball, which almost none of the people I know attended because the price for the tickets was something like 45 pounds and that didn't even include food or drinks. Performances were there of The Wombats and The Vengaboys (yes, they're back) and some others. Eventually in town we said goodbye to Marion. The bus was late, which I don't think any of us really had a problem with. It was a pretty sad and strange occasion. It has been 9 months. I then also said goobye to Heidi who lefte arly yesterday morning. Amandine and Heidi went back home on foot while Sandra, Alice and I took the bus. Véronique left earlier before. Yesterday was Alice's lunch and in the morning at 10 I met up with Dennis and Sandra to play squash, which was a great way to get my mind off of things. In the morning I baked a big bread filled with courgette, tomatoes etc. So I kept myself pretty busy. We played squash until something after 11.30. Dennis won all the time, I need to practice more! The lunch was great, everyone was there, from Jan to Jasmine. There was so much food. Véronique had made three kinds of different cakes or even four. Casey had made this vegetarian chilli, which was delicious. He makes great things. Love his food. Jasmine made some spring rolls as well, which were really nice. I like spring rolls. I ate a lot, a LOT! Even had some ice-cream that Sandra had brought with her. I was supposed to go see Brian De Palma's Redacted at 8.50, but everyone wanted me to stay as we would be goign to have dinner. Around that time only Sandra, Cécilia, Dennis, Véronique and Penelope were still left. We had some soup with bread and some courgette as well. Véronique made some fruit salad, which I liked and made Alice realize these little things of me that bother her :D Eventually it were just Dennis and I who were left and around 3 we also went back home. Tomorrow Sandra will leave, we will meet up in Alice's kitchen at 8 to do a small farewell. Slowly the group gets smaller and smaller.

Sleepless Night

Marion left today (or officially yesterday, 'cause it's already past midnight)and early tomorrow (so today) morning Heidi will leave together with her dad who came over, but because she's leaving very early we already said goodbye as well. I kind of had a sleepless night last night, we ordered pizza again. Well, first in the afternoon I went into town and later on after I got back I watched Battle For Haditha in the Gulbenkian at 8.50, but on Facebook I already send some messages about what to do later on at night. We ended up meeting in front of The Venue at 22.45. I was with Dennis, Alice, Sandra, Jasmine, Véronique and Jan who brought along his girlfriend and her friend. We were supposed to go into town, to Bar 121, but ended up staying at campus. First we went to Mungos. The music was really cool, they played The Strokes and some other cool bands. But we didn't stay long, because Alice preferred going somewhere else and Dennis doesn't really like to dance so we wanted to find a place where you could both dance and sit for a drink. So we went to Origins in Darwin, but before we even entered the place we turned around 'cause they were going to close soon. So we decided to go back to Mungos, even though they would be closing in 10 minutes. They closed at 12 pm, I don't know why so early. The music now had changed to a more trance/electro kind of sound. After staying the last ten minutes we went to Alice's kitchen and again we ordered pizza. Jan, his girlfriend and her friend had already left so it was just the rest of us plus Cécilia who joined us. We had two large pizzas this time and after some ice-cream as well. It was really good. Eventually only Véronique, Dennis, Alice and I were left and we stayed until some minutes before 5.30! We even witnessed how the night turned into day again. So yeah, I'm still kind of tired, so I will go to bed right now. Tomorrow I will go play squash at 10 am with Dennis and Sandra and afterwards I wll go to the lunch of Alice which starts at 12. So some nice things to look forward to on this sad evening of having to say goodbye.

I Got Cut

So I went into town yesterday and for some reason I made the decision to get my hair cut. I didn't really put much tought into it and I have no idea why yesterday, but I just felt like it I guess. So I walked around looking for a hairdresser. The one I went to was called Phoenix hair salon, I believe. The woman cutting my hair was called Sam. I got there around 3.30 and because she was still busy with someone else I was able to come back at 4 and et my hair cut. You need to have an appointment, so because I did not do that before I had to wait a bit. But it wasn't a problem. I had to go to Wilkinson and after I went to EAT to buy my favourite yoghurt which I ate upstairs looking down at the people walking in the street below. At 4 I went back to the salon and between 4 and 5 it happened, no turning back. I'm quite happy with it. It's good it's not that big anymore, it was too much. During the evening I went to K-bar with Jan, Dennis and Véronique. Alice went to the Gulbenkian before so she joined later as well as a bunch of others, including Cécilia and her friend Claire. It was Thursday so they had karaoke night. I like to watch the people sing, but after a while it gets a bit boring and because the music is so loud talking isn't really an option as I have to ask people to repeat themselves a million of times. They closed around 11 pm, as usual, so we decided to go somewhere else. At first I thought lets go to bed, but Alice and Véronique still wanted to do something fun, so we ended up at her kitchen. Jan left to go somewhere else, but Dennis, Véronique, Cécilia and Claire all came along. We had a tea and played the maffioso game with cards which we had played before. It's pretty fun. I however got really tired so around 2 I really felt I had enough and left to go to bed. I'm still tired a bit of course, but less than yesterday. So tonight I can go out and have fun again! :)

These Are Not Old Pictures

Drawing, Football

I added some thing to my dissertation yesterday. I had picked it up on Tuesday and today my mother will send it to my home university. At 5 I went to the drawing class and or model of today was Casey! So I had to draw him. But it was just as usual and I don't feel he felt awkward at all. But he's very into meditating and stuff so I guess he could easily keep his cool. I made a lot of drawings and a lot of different ones. I kind of tried every style possible. Straight after the drawing class I met up with Jasmine at the red mailbox to see the football match. And as some of you may know it happened to be a long night. We were at Woody's. The atmosphere was good. Of course there were the really dedicated lot wearing their Chelsea or Manchester United shirt. But especially two guys went crazy when Lampard scored, jumping on the couch and everything. It's fun to watch. Amandine was having a dinner, but with meat included, so I was going to maybe join for dessert, but the match lasted longer than expected. I just came back from town. I watched La Vie En Rose (La Môme) this morning which was pretty good. Marion Cotillard was great and I understand why she won the Oscar.

Take Away

I just got back from Woody's some minutes ago after watching the Champions League final together with Jasmine. Marie and João were there as well as some other friends of theirs. So Manchester United won and Chelsea lost. I was rooting for Chelsea and I thought they were better in the second half. I almost only saw blue and no red. But then eventually Manchester United won and people went crazy! :) As far as I know no lamps got broken though. Last night we had a meeting at the library at 8 to discuss the trip to Italy, with the main focus on renting a car for the week. Before that I was in Véronique's and Penelope's kitchen to eat the apple pie. Jasmine, Alice and Dennis were there as well and afterwards we went to the library where we met up with Marion who had been working. Penelope and Marion however didn't stay too long as it were actually mainly just Dennis, Alice and Véronique who were sorting things out. It's just something you can't really do with a lot of people, but just like three people is enough, so I guess not all of us had to be there. But it was good to see the possibilities and it's good to have some more people involved and not just Alice. She can't figure things out all by herself of course. We have to help her. After looking at sites to rent cars Alice mentioned she had to eat dinner still, same for Jasmine. I didn't really eat dinner yet either and Dennis was in for some food as well. At first we were thinking about cooking some pasta or something, but then Jasmine mentioned she would like to order some Indian food. Alice however, mentioned she was in for pizza, so we ended up ordering two medium size pizza's from Domino's. We ordered online and made our own pizza, so we choose the topping ourselves. It took us a while though to do all this, maybe it would have been faster just to call. Alice and Véronique decided to go to Alice's kitchen before us, 'cause it needed some cleaning. After Jasmine, Dennis and I stopped by at Essentials, the campus shop, to get some coke, we joined the others and it didn't take long for our pizza's got delivered. I'm going to brush my teeth now etc. and hop into bed. I'm tired. Another interesting day though. I had fun. :) Oh, and I forgot to mention, I also played squash against Dennis, so much fun!

Back In The Day

It's so long ago. Look how fresh and unaware we looked. Thanks to Heidi who took these pictures. Pictures from our first week are still a bit rare.

Back To London

So I went to London yesterday with Dennis. We took the coach from 9.05 am and arrived two hours later. We both didn't have exact plans as we were fine with doing anything as long as it's fun. There was this gallery we were both interested in to attend though, so we went with the underground to Leicester Square to have a look at the photographer's gallery. It w s very interesting and cool, but there was a big minus, there are only two big rooms. So we were done looking at the photo's much faster than expected. But the exposition was very interesting. It was called 'Once More, With Feeling' and showed recent photography from Colombia. Apart from photography some of the artists used video. A very interesting collection I found the photos taken by Milena Bonilla who traveled around Colombia and on her way stitched train seats and other things needed to be stitched as part of a process of healing. After the gallery we went into Chinatown to have lunch. I don't remember the place but it was good and pretty crowded. I had some vegetable soup and Dennis soup with crab, which seemed to be very thick and left him for a while with a fishy taste in his mouth. He also had some duck and vegetables with a bowl of rice. The rice which I also tasted was really nice. After lunch we started walking a bit and went into a couple of shops just to have a look. Then we decided to visit The British Museum where I had never been before. I did go to The National Gallery though. But The British Museum is huge. There are a lot of different rooms showing pieces from many years before Christ and ranging from early Egypt to Europe. There was also this room which showed how some tribes deal with spirits and festivities. Apart from all the objects there was also a room with drawings. In this special exposition called The American Scene, prints from artists like Jackson Pollock and Edward Hopper. Of all I always like drawings and paintings the most. There was also this room with some prints from Korean artists which was pretty cool, but way too small. We then wanted to go for a drink. Dennis at first suggested Starbucks where he ususally gets his coffee which he also got his coffee before getting on in the coach. But he was open to a change so we went somewhere else and ended up in Itsu, this place I had seen before but never entered. But it's great and so me. They have frozen yoghurt, sushi and other healthy things :) We both had a sushi pack and a plastic cup of frozen yoghurt. I had some with strawberries on top, a good combination, while Dennis's yoghurt was sprinkled with pices of chocolate, but according to him this didn't make such a good combo. But I definitely enjoyed both the sushi and the yoghurt and if there was a Itsu here in Canterbury I would be sitting there right now, but unfortunately there isn't, so I'll stick to EAT. In Itsu we sat for quite a long while just talking and by the time we left it was already time to make our way to the coach station. Dennis still had to get his return ticket and because we expected a long line of people we went there a bit early. On the way I bought a smoothie, which was very good. I love fruit and smoothies are delicious. The coach stopped at Keynes college thanks to Dennis who took a ticket which would stop at the university. I still have not figured out how to do that online, but when you buy one at the station you can just ask the person behind the counter to get one for you. Once home I ate an orange and that was enough for the day. On the coach to London I already ate two small wraps as well which I bought at Starbucks. This morning Dennis and I played squash which was so much fun. He does really like to make me run though. In some minutes I will go to Penelope and Véronique's place. The girls made some apple pie!

Let The Boys Lead

I went to London again today, this time with Dennis and I had a great time. About last night, though, I went out for a drink in town together with Jasmine, Jan, Dennis and Alice. The rest of the day I did nothing special. I was just at home and then went to the library to print out my coach ticket. We had trouble finding a place to drink and the girls wanted us boys to pick a spot. After some searching we ended up in this place where they played very interesting music, a broad range of styles. After the drink we were all a bit hungry, except for Alice, so us boys went to buy a sandwich at Subway and Jasmine later on ordered some chicken and also had a cookie which Dennis bought for her. So I had a great time last night, as usual. Now I go to bed, I will tell about my London adventure tomorrow (or actually today). Sleep tight and goodnight ;)

At The Cuban

Me and Alice dancing!

The pictures were made with Alice's camera. Thanks Alice!

Another Night At The Cuban

I'm about to take a shower in a couple of minutes. Yes, it's one of those days :D Just saw Match Point. Or, actually that was already like half an hour ago already as well. Yesterday what did I do? Uhmmm, nothing. Nice nice. Well, not until 8 pm. I was at home tryign to rest from my trip to London the day before. Did not really rest though. I can't help myself, keepw aking up early. But at 8 I went to Penelope's and Véronique's place to have a tea together with Heidi, Magali, Marion, Amandine, Alice and Dennis. Did I forget anyone? Hope not. Penelope is leaving the 21st for her graduation. She stays in Spain for four days and then returns. But when she gets back Marion and Heidi will be gone as they go back home this weekend and they will not come back. So she wanted to have a drink to already kind of say goodbye. After the drink I went to the Cuban with Alice and Véronique. Dennis didn't come along, though we tried to make him go as well. Jasmine joined us at the bus station as was Marie, this girl from Germany whom I know from salsa class. It was fun but after a while I just got a bit bored with the music. Next time I would like to go to a 'normal' club again, where they play electro or rocki kinf od music. I think I had enough of the salsa, reggeaton and other type of hips moving music. I'm in need of a change. But it was fun. We stayed until some minutes after 1. i wanted to go not only because of the music but because I was feeling tired as well. I actually had doubts about going, because I was so tired but I wanted to have fun so I went. I will post pictures for all of you to enjoy!

Can You See The Difference? (If There Is Any)

Before (the sun):

In between :p :

After (the last day of sun :) ):

Yep, I'm a bit browner now, right? :) By the way, my webcam lies, I don't look like this in normal life, now do I? It must be the lighting as well. Good lighting can make everyone look a bit nicer I guess.

Tower Of London

We couldn't take pictures inside Westminster Abbey :(
