Thursday & Friday

On Thursday I did nothing else expect drop by at Alice's place where I had tea and biscuits at 5 together with Dennis, Penelope, Jasmine, Véronique and Cecilia and one of her friends. We met up to talk about Italy and discuss things like whether to rent a car or not. We will be something like 10 in total. It's going to be lots of fun and I can't wait until August. But it was really nice and fun to discuss all these things. Penelope and Véronique are still busy with exams so they had to leave around 7 to go back to their revision. Dennis had finished all his exams so he's now done. Because it was already almost dinner time Alice invited Jasmine, Dennis and me to stay for dinner. Sandra later on came by and she stayed as well. Like always Alice really cooks nice things. She made spaghetti with some little chilli peppers and put some bread in the oven which we ate together with some really nice carrots! As a desert there was a fruit salas consisting of grapefruit, apple and grapes. There were still some biscuits left and when we drank some more cups of tea Sandra started being creative with this carbon tea bag box and one of the biscuits. With aluminium she started to make arms and turned the box into a body with the biscuit as a head. Some whipped cream made for some nice eyes and with some grapefruit leftovers we made a mouth. When Sandra left we changed some things and decided to give the puppet to Adriana, or at least put it in front of her corridor so she would find it. We wrote a note and hoped she would not find out the puppet came from us. Lately she had been having some calls from some Spanish guys she didn't know, but who kept stalking her. A bit creepy, but it didn't keep us from pulling this prank. Unfortunately we couldn't get into Adriana's building, so Alice had to go and wave in front of Adriana's building so she and her flatmate would notice her and open the door. She just went for a chat while Jasmine, Dennis and I waited outside. When Alice came back down she put the puppet in front of Adriana's corridor. We then left and stood outside Alice's building for a while talking and she and Jasmine started to practice on how to react when Adriana would come and tell them about the puppet of which they had to pretend to know nothing about of course. Unfortunately Adriana found the puppet as she had to leave her place to go and work on her essay and riding on her bike she came towards us and told us thanks for the puppet! She knew it was us who put it in front of her door, which wasn't that hard to figure out. So yeah, our plan failed. But it was fun anyway. Then I went to the library with Dennis where I printed my coach ticket and the ticket to visit the Tower of London. I also returned some books and went back home to sleep. The next day I had to wake up early. Amandine came by to pick me up and together we went to pick up Marion. Together we walked into town and on the way picked up Gabriel, Amandine's friend who was coming with us. I had a really nice time in London and it didn't rain, so it was dry while we were there. Lucky us! We visited the Westminsted Abbey which was really nice. We did a guided tour and the guy guiding us was real fun and very good. He really told everything enthusiastically and I enjoyed it very much. It all took something like 93 minutes altogether. After we went to visit the Tower of London, but first went to eat somethign at Victoria coach station. I had a sandwich from Subway and the others went to this noodle bar. Especially Amandine was happy with her noodles 'cause it reminded her of her anime series :) I went to the Tower of London before but never went inside. I was surprised by how big it is. It's really fu n and there's lots of things to see. The most interesting thing though was the evensong we attended at Westminsted Abbey. After the Tower of London we went back to Westminster Abbey to attend this mass. After our tour that afternoon our guide told us if we were interested we could attend the mass of 5 pm and he would go and safe us some seats. At first we weren't sure if we would have enough time to go there, but eventually we did and it didn't dissapoint. I had never attended anything like this, so I was quite impressed. It was really strange to hear a real choir like this sing in a church. It was so peaceful and quite the experience. After we wanted to eat some Chinese food and after some searching finally found Chinatown. However, we had only one hour left before our coach would leave to Canterbury so we didn't have enough time to really sit and eat. So we ordered somethign to take away. So when I arrived back home I had some chow mein with fishballs, which was really nice and tasty. I enjoyed it very much and it was cool to have a real meal like that again. I should order food more frequently, it's good. This time our coach did not stop at Keynes college but just in town so we had to walk back to campus. I however didn't mind but the girls did. After saying goodbye to Gabriel we walked back home and everytime a bus passed us the girls went like ooooh, we could have been on that bus instead of walkign here. But I enjoyed the walk. It was nice and more fun than sitting in the bus :) Today I'm having a lazy day. I'm home trying to rest a bit. At 8 I will go to Véronique's and Penelope's place (Penelope moved in in Véro's place, don't know if I already mentioned that, so now they both live there) for a tea. A lot of people will be there and hopefully both Heidi and Marion, because Penelope is goign back to Spain the 21 (though she will come back again) and wants to say goodbye to both girls, because Marion is already leaving the 24, the same day she has her last exam and Heidi will leave the 25th of May. So yeah, that's next weekend :( Both will come to Italy though, as is Penelope. But still, it's not the same here without them. Well, everyone enjoy your weekend. I will put some pictures up from the trip soon!
